We’re pleased to announce that NetWatch have now set up a new division within the business dedicated to interviewing police officers, that will also be able to assist with interviewing policyholders, witnesses and other parties of interest in order to obtain an accurate version of events. Where required statements of these interviews can quickly and easily be produced for signature.

Why Now?

As part of our OSINT Incident Investigations, we have been unearthing key witnesses that were to that point unknown for a number of years now. There has always been pressure from clients for NetWatch to undertake these interviews, and we have of course assisted where possible.

However, following the successful launch of our Rapid Police Reports service, we are seeing more and more cases in which it makes sense for our clients to utilise NetWatch to interview witnesses identified or the police officers that attended the scene.

Why utilise NetWatch to interview attending Police Officers?

In interviewing a police officer who attended an incident you will often be able to gather a much clearer picture of what took place and have the chance to ask key questions in relation to a claim or liability.

Arranging interviews with police officers can be extremely time consuming, given that consent from the force is often required along with a payment for the officers time. Following receipt of a police report from NetWatch all of this can be automated with the click of a button.

There is no longer any need to write to the police, have a payment raised, wait to hear back from them and then pass all the details to an investigator and brief them on the incident. NetWatch already have all the details on file, and liaison with the police is automated through the Rapid Police Reports system.

The key benefit really here is the time saving that ultimately will lead to a swifter resolution of a claim, and decrease the overall claims spend.
