Job Details

Role: Business Administration Apprentice

Location: based in Birmingham, UK in close proximity to the city centre

Length of Placement: 21 months

Working Hours: 37.5 flexi hours per week Mon-Fri (includes 6 hours of study towards qualification)

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: £17,000 per annum

Job Description

NetWatch recently launched an exciting new service which has proven highly successful and has grown at an exponential rate. As a result, we are looking for multiple Business Administration Apprentices to join our company to help with the day-to-day running of this service as well as providing effective administrative support to the wider company.

  • Key member of the administration team with responsibility for booking-in instructions using our case management system and resolving queries from clients and colleagues.
  • Conducting quality assurance checks to ensure data is inputted correctly.
  • Using the phone and email to liaise with clients and external organisations, to request/chase documentation and resolve any queries.
  • Issuing cheques and chasing payments to and from external organisations.
  • Assisting our analyst team with writing basic reports and letters in relation to ongoing or completed investigations.
  • Exposure to different areas of our business, rotating across different administration positions depending upon ongoing business need at the time.
  • Supporting colleagues and the wider administration team whenever necessary.

The successful apprentice will complete a full ‘Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard.’ The training will be delivered by Birmingham Metropolitan College with a flexible delivery model. It is highly likely that apprentices who excel in the role will be offered a full-time administration position on completion of their apprenticeship. There are also opportunities to move into other areas of the business, if interested and depending upon business needs at the time. Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of Maths & English at grade A-C / 9-4 or functional skills equivalent

Person Specification

  • Enthusiastic and positive – eager to start work and gain experience
  • IT literate – confident using new IT software and Microsoft Office
  • Good verbal communication skills and confidence in dealing with clients over the phone
  • Good written communication skills for corresponding with clients over email and compiling short written reports
  • Good sense of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Honesty and integrity – personal characteristics essential to anyone working in an investigation role at NetWatch.

Job Description

You will join our vibrant team as an Intelligence Analyst and learn the skills to become a specialist in online and social media intelligence.

As an Intelligence Analyst your key responsibilities are likely to include those listed below, although this is not exhaustive.

  • Analysing and compiling intelligence into comprehensive written reports in a target driven environment.
  • Researching social networking sites to build up a lifestyle analysis of individuals suspected of being involved in fraudulent claims.
  • Online investigations to establish the movements and whereabouts of individuals so that surveillance can be utilised to best effect.
  • Identifying and locating individuals who may have witnessed any road or personal injury accidents so that the client can obtain statements to assist when deciding upon liability and reserve.
  • Investigations into online networks with the aim of establishing any links between parties which could suggest fraud.
  • Utilising in-house NetWatch software to provide a range of bespoke services to clients in various industries.
  • Utilising a variety of databases, public records and intelligence tools & techniques to obtain information on subjects and attribute social networking accounts to them.

Requirements

  • Excellent grasp of written and spoken English
  • 2.1 degree (non-STEM disciplines preferred) or valuable experience in a fraud detection role
  • Office-based experience preferred
  • Experience working in a target driven environment preferred
  • Good understanding of online social networking sites and online trends
  • Strong IT Skills
